The tower hill Altes Schloss is an abandoned medieval hilltop castle that belongs to the tower hill castle (moth) type . It is located in a forest immediately southeast of Satzing , a district of the municipality of Gangkofen in the Rottal-Inn district in Bavaria .

The former tower hill castle lies on a narrow, west-northwest-facing and steeply sloping, 454.9  m above sea level. NHN high terrain spur, which borders directly on the Trennbach flowing in the valley to the west of it. A gravel pit from the 19th century has eaten its way from the north right up to the tower hill, and the east side of the hill is also threatened.

The tower hill has a height of 4.2 meters and a diameter of 20 to 23 meters at its base, the diameter at the surface of the hill is eight meters. Here you can see a depression about one meter deep, which begins in the north of the hill surface and extends over the edge of the hill. The tower hill is surrounded by a moat that is still 1 to 1.5 meters deep and has no interruptions.

No historical data are known about the medieval Old Castle .

The site is now protected as a ground monument number D-2-7441-0127: Tower Hill of the Middle Ages ("Old Castle") .
