Andrea Palma
Andrea Palma (* 1644 or 1664 in Trapani ; † 1730 in Palermo ) was an Italian architect. He was an important representative of the Sicilian baroque .
Palma worked in Palermo and was there architect of the Senate (1707) and the Chiesa dell'Olivella . His works include the renovation and expansion (started in 1728, completed in 1753) of the Cathedral of Santa Maria delle Colonne in Syracuse , the Chiesa di Santa Maria di Montevergini and the Chiesa di San Gioacchino .
His nephew and student was Nicolò Palma .
