Andrea Sabisch

Andrea Sabisch (* 1970 ) is a German art educator and university professor for art education and visual / aesthetic education as well as for general educational sciences . She has been teaching and researching at the University of Hamburg since 2010 .

Life

Sabisch completed a degree in German and English in Göttingen and a degree in teaching for elementary and secondary schools in Flensburg in the subjects of art, German and music. Legal clerkship and teaching position took place in Hanover. From 2001 to 2007 she was a research assistant at the University of Dortmund, receiving her doctorate in 2006; In 2007 she did her dissertation on the subject of "Staging the Search - Records as Graphics of Aesthetic Experience". In 2007 she received a substitute professorship in "Art - Communication - Education" at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg. From 2007 to 2010 she was a research assistant (post-doc) at the University of Hamburg. Sabisch has been a professor at the University of Hamburg since November 2010. She is the founder of the German-language art education research colloquium at the Ev. Academy in Loccum (since 2004). She is also a founding member and chairwoman of the Scientific Society for Art Media Education e. V.
