Andrea Schwarz-Hausmann

Andrea Schwarz-Hausmann (* 1966 in Vienna ) is an Austrian lawyer , author and theater professional. Her areas of expertise are theater law, medical and health law, as well as occupational safety and fire protection.

Live and act

Andrea Schwarz-Hausmann was born in Vienna as the daughter of a Viennese and a Sicilian. In addition to high school, she completed ballet training. After training at the Conservatory of the City of Vienna, now a private university in Vienna, in the subjects of operetta and musical, acting and directing, she began her career at the Vienna Volkstheater , the Theater in der Josefstadt, and from 1989 to 1996 she was evening director, initially at the Vienna Volksoper , and later in the Vienna State Opera . In addition to this activity, Schwarz-Hausmann worked under the stage name Andrea Schwarz-Giammona and Andrea Schwarz on Austrian and German stages as a singer, actress and director and as an assistant to Otto Schenk, Jerome Savary and Istvan Szabo. She was also the editor and dramaturge when setting up the Barbara Karlich Show .

After completing a law degree at the University of Vienna, he did legal practice and worked in two Viennese law firms with a focus on labor and social law as well as medical law. As one of the first graduates of the medical law specialization at the University of Vienna, further specialization followed through training as a health economist and the master's degree in health and social management. This also led to the nomination for election as patient ombudsman.

From 2003 to 2012, Schwarz-Hausmann taught law subjects at the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences in Pinkafeld. Schwarz-Hausmann and has been a member of the Ludweis fire brigade since 2010 as a fire brigade lawyer (FJUR) and was the first woman to be certified as a fire protection manager in 2012.
