Andreas Bolm

Andreas Bolm (* 1971 in Cologne ) is a German filmmaker and musician.

Life

Bolm was born in Cologne in 1971 to a Hungarian mother and a German father. After working as a sound engineer and musician in Manchester , he began studying at the FAMU film academy in Prague and in 1999 at the Munich University of Television and Film .

Since 1998 he has been working on film as an author and director, as well as collaborating as a cameraman, sound engineer and film editor. In 2004 he participated in the founding of the film, video and art production company "pickpocket production" with Markus Nechleba.

His films have been shown at festivals such as B. at the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen , the Berlinale , the International Film Festival Rotterdam , as well as the International Film Festival of Cannes, whereby in 2009 he received a grant from the Cinéfondation Résidence Festival de Cannes.

Andreas Bolm lives in Berlin , Paris and Hungary .
