Andreas Hegewald

Andreas Hegewald (born August 7, 1953 in Sondershausen ) is a German painter and graphic artist .

Life

Hegewald attended the Thomas School in Leipzig from 1964 to 1972 and was a member of the St. Thomas Choir . From 1974 to 1977 he attended evening school at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts . He then studied painting and graphics there from 1976 to 1982 with Günter Horlbeck . Together with Lutz Fleischer and Petra Kasten , he founded Leitwolfverlag in 1983, which specialized in artistically valuable editions. In 1990 he was one of the founders of the Riesa efau cultural association and the Adlergasse gallery in Dresden. In 2004 he founded the Buchenpresse publishing house together with Christiane Just .

Andreas Hegewald lives and works in Dresden.
