from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Andreas "Otto" Nauroth (born February 26, 1976 ) is a German soccer player .

"Otto" began his football career at SG Malberg / Rosenheim , where he played until 1997.

In that year he switched to Sportfreunde Siegen , where he became a crowd favorite thanks to his fighting spirit. Due to a similar name to the legendary Siegen inner striker Otto Nauroth , he was quickly nicknamed "Otto". His sporting highlight was the second division season 2005/06, also with the Sportfreunde. In the winter training camp of the 2006/2007 season, Andreas Nauroth was accidentally seriously injured in the knee by his teammate Cem İslamoğlu during a training game. This injury meant that Nauroth had to end his career in April 2008. Until then, he could not play a single game for the club.

Since the winter break of the 2008/2009 season, Nauroth has been playing for his hometown club SG Malberg / Rosenheim again as a hobby . In the 2010/2011 season, Nauroth and Malberg / Rosenheim became champions of the Eastern Football District League and so rose to the Rhineland League with his Malbergers. From the 2014/2015 season he plays for the SG Fensdorf / Gebhardshain / Steinebach.
