Andreas Samland

Andreas Samland (* 1974 in Oelde , Westphalia ) is a German filmmaker.

After school, Samland worked as a 3D artist in Darmstadt, Manchester and Hamburg on the development of various Playstation and video games. Samland has been studying at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin since 1999 . He lives and works in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg.

Prizes and awards

For his films, Samland won two awards for the best short film at the Brooklyn International Film Festival , in 2003 with the film Day 26 and in 2004 with The Dud .
