Andreas von Zitzewitz

Andreas von Zitzewitz (born January 14, 1960 in Stuttgart ) is a German manager .

Life

He is the son of the graduate engineer Christian-Wilhelm von Zitzewitz , whose family name goes back to a Pomeranian noble family, which was first mentioned in 1169. After studying electrical engineering, Zitzewitz began his professional career at Siemens . He is married and has three children.

Andreas von Zitzewitz studied electrical engineering in Stuttgart and obtained his doctorate in engineering from the University of Bochum. From 1986 he initially worked in the semiconductor sector at Siemens, and in 1995 he became head of the memory products sector.

In 1999 he was appointed to the board of directors of the semiconductor manufacturer Infineon , a subsidiary of Siemens. He left this contract in 2005 because of a bribery affair. In November 2006 he was sentenced to one year probation and a fine of 90,000 euros for taking advantage. From November 2006 he managed to renovate the motorhome manufacturer BavariaCamp (near Landsberg am Lech) within a few months.

In March 2008 he became head of the components division of Conergy AG and was appointed to the board of directors there in January 2009, and six months later he was appointed deputy chairman of the board. In August 2010, he left the solar company because of differences of opinion among the top management.

At another leading company in the solar industry - Q-Cells SE - he was appointed board member for technology, production, quality, supply chain & purchasing in August 2011. After the insolvency of Q-Cells SE and its takeover by the South Korean Hanwha Group, the company Hanwha Q CELLS was founded in October 2012. There, Andreas von Zitzewitz, as COO in the management, had global responsibility for quality, technology and production. He left Hanhwa Q CELLS in December 2014.
