Anette Leppinger

Anette Leppinger (* 4. July 1951 in Halberstadt ) is a German politician of the SPD and from 1990 to 2002 member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt .

Life and work

After attending high school, Leppinger trained as a tailor-made woman. From 1981 to 1990 she worked as a self-employed master craftsman.

Leppinger is married and has two children.

Political party

In November 18, 1989 she was a founding member of the SDP (Social Democratic Party in the GDR) in Halberstadt and was initially treasurer, later deputy district chairwoman of the SPD Halberstadt . After 25 years, she resigned from the SPD in November 2014 to protest the formation of a coalition of the SPD in Thuringia, led by the SED successor party Die Linke.

MPs

She became a member of the city council / city council of Halberstadt from 1990 to 2009. Initially, she was Vice President, Group Chair, and lastly she became Committee Chair. Leppinger was a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt since the first electoral term in 1990. For the state elections in 2002, she did not run again as a critic of the Magdeburg model (minority government - tolerated by the PDS). She represented the constituency of Halberstadt and was the spokesperson for domestic and foreign policy for the SPD parliamentary group in the interior committee; as well as a member of the Legal Committee and the Committee for Regional Planning and the Environment.
