Angela Kaiser-Lahme

Angela Kaiser-Lahme , b. Kaiser (born November 3, 1960 ) is a German historian (focus on castle research ).

Life

Angela Kaiser received her doctorate in 1988 in the Philosophical Faculty of the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn with the dissertation " Lord D'Abernon and the English policy on Germany 1920–1926". As a research assistant, she was involved in a project to open up British files during the occupation period in Germany 1945–1949/55 and published in 1992 on the Control Commission for Germany (British Element) .

Since 2003, Kaiser-Lahme has been managing director of the German Society for Fortification Research and director of castles, palaces and antiquities of the General Directorate for Cultural Heritage Rhineland-Palatinate , based at the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress in Koblenz . This office was established in 1998 within the State Office for Monument Preservation as the successor to the administration of the state palaces of Rhineland-Palatinate and currently (2019) manages around 80 properties. Kaiser-Lahme is a member of the scientific committee of the Commission for the History of Rhineland-Palatinate .
