Anglecot , also known as the Potter Residence , is a historic building in the Chestnut Hill Historic District in Philadelphia .
Anglecot was built in 1883 by architect Wilson Eyre for Charles Adams Potter, a linoleum manufacturer . In the 1970s it functioned as a sanatorium, today it is divided into several apartments.
On April 19, 1982, Anglecot was added to the National Register of Historic Places . It counts as a Contributing Property of the Chestnut Hill Historic District .
