Trailer wagon, two-axle with articulated drawbar

The trailer wagon is one of the basic vehicle classes for trailers in Austrian traffic law .

To the subject

The trailer car is "a trailer having at least two axles , of which at least one steered axle , and a (relative to the trailer) vertically movable towing device which no substantial load on the towing vehicle transmits." ( § 2 definitions para. 1 25 Motor Vehicle Act id F . 2019).

The trailer thus corresponds to the - constructive - EU vehicle class  DB [ articulated ] drawbar trailer (according to Directive EU / 678/2011). In the traffic law applies sense but also "one of a trailer axle angekuppelter semitrailer " (also according to § 2 25 CFG) as attachments car.

The trailer wagon differs from the central axle trailer  (Z 26b or DC) or rigid drawbar trailer  (Z 26c or DE) (single-axle or with a multi-axle group), whose load is transferred to the towing vehicle much more heavily and which cannot be parked as easily.

The "insignificant load" is less than 100  daN (corresponds to 100 kg; according to § 2 Z 25 KFG and EU / 678/2011).

Carriages (for draft animals) only come under the term (§ 1. Z. 1 1. KFG), in principle, they are excluded from the KFG (§ 1. Z. 2 lit. a KFG).
