Motor vehicle train

In Austrian traffic law, motor vehicle train means any combination of a motor vehicle and a heavier trailer .

The motor vehicle train is "a motor vehicle with a trailer with a maximum permissible total weight of more than 750 kg or with more than one trailer." ( Section 2, Paragraph 1, Item 30 of the Motor Vehicle Act as amended 2019).

The trailers over 750 kg are all trailers except for the EU vehicle class O1 (according to Directive EU / 678/2011; light trailer in KFG §2 (1) Z 2).

Articulated vehicles  (Z 10) and articulated vehicles  (Z 13) (also according to § 2 (1) Z 30 KFG) are not considered to be motor vehicle trains .
