Anika Lorenz

Anika Lorenz (born December 9, 1990 in Berlin ) is a German sailor in the 49erFX class .

Anika Lorenz from the Seglerhaus am Wannsee club was Junior European Champion in 2008 and 2010 and Junior World Champion 2011 in the 470 class . In 2012, she started as a crewmistress together with helmsman Victoria Jurczok in the 29erXX class , the two took third place at the European Championships and won the World Championship. Jurczok and Lorenz have been competing in the 49erFX class since 2013. In their first year in this boat class, they finished eighth in the European Championship and sixth in the World Championship. Fifth place at the world championship followed in 2014, and in 2015 the crew reached sixth place at the European championship. After finishing third at the 2016 World Cup, Victoria Jurczok and Anika Lorenz were appointed to the German team for the 2016 Olympic Games . Jurczok and Lorenz took ninth place there. In 2017 the two won the bronze medal at the European Championship and finished fifth at the World Championship. The following year they won silver at the European Championships. In 2019 they won the Kiel Week, but only finished 19th at the European Championships.

Anika Lorenz is a sports soldier in Kiel.
