Anita Büttner

Anita Büttner (* 1924 in Trier ) is a German classical archaeologist .

Anita Büttner studied classical archeology and art history at the University of Mainz , where she received her doctorate in 1955 under Roland Hampe with a thesis on military awards in the Roman Empire . She then worked as a research assistant at the Episcopal Museum in Trier before she was custodian of the archaeological collections of the Hessian State Museum in Darmstadt until her retirement .

She has published in particular basic studies on the cork models by Antonio Chichi .
