Anka Pelowa

Anka Pelowa ( Bulgarian Анка Пелова ; born January 27, 1939 in Panagyurishte ) is a former Bulgarian sports shooter. She was world and European champion.

Life

Pelova attended the Georgi Dimitrov College of Physical Culture and Sports in Sofia .

In 1976 and 1979 she was European champion in the women's singles in a small bore standard rifle, 60 rounds prone, 50 meters. In the corresponding team competition she won the bronze medal at the European Championships in 1977 with the Bulgarian women's national team and was European champion in 1980.

In the women's individual discipline small bore standard rifle 60 rounds (3 × 20), 50 meters, she became world champion in 1974 and European champion in 1975 and 1976 and won the bronze medal in 1977. In team competition she won the silver medal at the 1974 World Championships and bronze at the 1976 European Championships. In 1980 she became European champion in this discipline.

In the women's single air rifle 40 rounds, 10 meters she won bronze at the world championships in 1980 and 1981. In the team competition she achieved bronze in 1979 and won gold in 1980.
