Anke Palm

Anke Palm (* 1988 ) is a German lifeguard .

Life

Anke Palm is a police officer by profession. She belongs to the German Lifesaving Society in Halle Saalkreis , where she dealt with lifeguarding at an early age. She specialized in the discipline of 50 m lifeguard swimming with the puppet and relay swimming. She is a member of the A-squad of the DLRG .

In 2009 she won the DLRG Cup with the board rescue team .

She became European champion with the relay and set a new world record. At the 2010 World Championships, she took 3rd place in the relay. In 2014 she became German champion in the all-around competition and in the relay. Also in 2014 she was third at the world championships with the puppet relay.

For her athletic achievements, she was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf by Federal President Joachim Gauck on October 25, 2013 .
