Arquenay is a French municipality with 638 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Mayenne in the region Pays de la Loire in France . Residents of the municipality are called Arquenaysia . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Château-Gontier and the canton of Meslay-du-Maine .
geography
Arquenay is about 18 kilometers east-southeast of Laval . Arquenay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bazougers in the north, Saint-Denis-du-Maine in the east, Meslay-du-Maine in the south and south-east, Le Bignon-du-Maine in the south and south-west, Maisoncelles-du-Maine in the south-west and Parné -sur-roc to the west and northwest.
