La Roche-Neuville is a French commune with 1,167 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Mayenne in the region Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the canton of Azé and the arrondissement of Château-Gontier .
It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019 through the amalgamation of the previous municipalities of Loigné-sur-Mayenne and Saint-Sulpice , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Loigné-sur-Mayenne.

geography
The municipality is located around 20 kilometers south of Laval . The Mayenne River runs along the eastern municipal boundary . Neighboring municipalities are Houssay in the north, Villiers-Charlemagne in the northeast, Fromentières in the east, Château-Gontier-sur-Mayenne in the south, Marigné-Peuton in the southwest, Peuton in the west and Quelaines-Saint-Gault in the northwest.
