The inhabitants of the parish are called Dionysia .

Saint-Denis-d'Anjou is about 53 kilometers west-southwest of Le Mans . The river Sarthe limits the municipality to the east. Saint-Denis-d'Anjou is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bouère in the north and north-west, Souvigné-sur-Sarthe in the north and north-east, Sablé-sur-Sarthe in the north-east, Pincé in the east, Précigné in the east and south-east, Morannes sur Sarthe- Daumeray in the south and south-east, Miré in the south-west and Bierné-les-Villages with Bierné in the west.
