La Cropte is a French municipality with 211 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Mayenne in the region Pays de la Loire in France . Inhabitants of the commune are called Croptois . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Château-Gontier (until 2017: arrondissement Laval ) and the canton of Meslay-du-Maine .

La Cropte is about 25 kilometers southeast of Laval . La Cropte is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Denis-du-Maine in the north and north-west, La Bazouge-de-Chemeré in the north, Chémeré-le-Roi in the east and north-east, Préaux in the east and south-east, Le Buret in the south and Meslay -du-Maine to the west.
