Quelaines-Saint-Gault is a French commune with 2,157 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Mayenne in the region Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Château-Gontier and is part of the canton of Cossé-le-Vivien . The inhabitants are called Quelainais .

Quelaines-Saint-Gault is about 16 kilometers south of Laval . Quelaines-Saint-Gault is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Astillé in the north and northwest, Nuillé-sur-Vicoin in the north and northeast, Origné in the northeast, Houssay in the east, La Roche-Neuville with Loigné-sur-Mayenne in the southeast, Peuton in the south as well as Cosmes to the west and southwest.
