The inhabitants of the commune are called Marignéens .

Marigné-Peuton is located about 27 kilometers south-southwest of Laval . Marigné-Peuton is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Peuton in the north, La Roche-Neuville with Loigné-sur-Mayenne in the east, Château-Gontier in the east and south-east, Prée-d'Anjou in the south and west, and Simplé in the north-west.
