Préaux is a French municipality with 166 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Mayenne in the region Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Château-Gontier and the canton of Meslay-du-Maine (until 2015: canton of Grez-en-Bouère ). Inhabitants of the commune are called Préauxoises .
geography
The place is about 40 kilometers from Le Mans , in the valley of the Vaige . Its tributary Vassé runs along the southwestern municipal boundary .
