Luke Kibet

Luke Kibet (born June 19, 1973 in Eldoret ) is a Kenyan marathon runner .

In 1997 he won the Nürburgring race in his first season . He celebrated his greatest successes at the Country Music Marathon , which he won in 2000 and 2004 and in which he came second twice (2001 and 2005) and once third (2003).

He set his best time of 2:10:18 in 2002 as third in the Amsterdam Marathon . He was also third in the Munich Marathon in 2000 and second in the Lausanne Marathon in 2003 .

He is not to be confused with his compatriot Luke Kibet Bowen , the 2007 world marathon champion.
