Lausanne marathon

The Lausanne Marathon is a marathon in Lausanne that has been held annually at the end of October since 1992. In addition to the original distance of 42.195 km, the half marathon , quarter marathon and a mini children's marathon over 4.219 kilometers are run.

The route begins at Place de Milan and heads east out of the city along Lake Geneva . Via Pully and Paudex it goes to Lutry , where the turning point of the quarter marathon is, while the other runs past Villette and through Cully , Rivaz , Saint-Saphorin , Corseaux and Vevey and reach the turning point of their route in La Tour-de-Peilz . Since 2007 the start of the half marathon has been in La Tour-de-Peilz, but not directly at the turning point. The finish of all routes is in front of the Olympic Museum in Lausanne.
