Laura Hrebec (born May 12, 1977 in Vevey ) is a Swiss endurance athlete , triathlete and multi-athlete. She is the European Duathlon Champion (2015) and two-time Swiss Half Marathon Champion (2016, 2017).

Career

Laura Hrebec started rowing at the age of 14 and switched to triathlon in 2003 at the age of 26.

In 2006 she finished fifth in the women's 25-29 class at the World Triathlon Championships in Lausanne. In May 2010 she won the Geneva Marathon.

Hrebec is trained by Magali Di Marco . In 2014 she was third at the Duathlon World Championship in Zofingen.

European champion long distance duathlon 2015

In April 2015 she became European champion in the long distance duathlon. At the Switzerland Marathon light she became Swiss Half Marathon Champion in September 2016 and she was able to repeat this success at the Greifensee run in 2017 .

In October 2017, the 40-year-old won the Lausanne Marathon for the second time after 2012 and with a personal best. In 2015 and 2016, she also won the half marathon distance here.

She is married and now lives in Illarsaz with her husband and two daughters .
