Career

At the age of 19 she won the silver medal at the World Mountain Running Championships in 2006 , the gold medal at the European Mountain Running Championships in 2009 and 2011 and the bronze medal at the 2010 World Mountain Running Championships . In July 2015, she won the Zermatt Marathon with a new course record , making her long-distance mountain running world champion.

On September 10, 2016, she won the Jungfrau Marathon in a new record time.

At the Grand Prix of Bern (run over ten miles through downtown Bern), the 31-year-old from Solothurn celebrated a superior victory in 53: 49.6 minutes in May 2018, the best time ever achieved by a Swiss woman, ahead of Maja Neuenschwander .
