European Mountain Running Championships

The European Mountain Running Championships (ger .: European Mountain Running Championships) are international competitions in mountain running , which were introduced of 2002. They are organized by the European Athletics Association (ger .: European Athletics Association - EAA). The event is held annually in July. In addition to the individual placements, there are team ratings for the countries. Male and female juniors (U20) have been rated since 2007.

history

In 1994 an unofficial "European Mountain Running Trophy" took place, which the World Mountain Running Association (WMRA) recognized in 1995. In 2002, when it was recognized by the European Athletics Association (EAA), the event was renamed "European Mountain Running Championships".
