German championships in the 10,000 meter run
German championships in the 10,000 meter run are part of the German championships in athletics , which are held annually in summer. In West Germany , they were carried out from 1975 to 1981 separately from the main town in terms of space and time. From 1982 until the establishment of the unification of Germany , they were again held as part of the central competitions and are again separated from 1991. As part of this event, the German championships in the 5000 meter run were held.
The organizer is the German Athletics Association (DLV) in conjunction with a state and, if applicable, local organizer.
Eligible are male and female athletes of the age groups: adults, U23, U20 and senior citizens. Youngsters under 16 are not eligible to participate in male and female youth under 20. Only athletes who have achieved a minimum performance in their age group are allowed to start.
