List of German champions in the 5000 meter run

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 5000 meter run has been part of the German Athletics Championships as the shortest long distance for men since 1919 . For women, the discipline did not become part of the official championship program until 1995. Before that, the 3000 meters were the shortest long distance for women at these championships - part of the competitions in the Federal Republic of Germany since 1973 and in the GDR since 1976. The championships were held at times as part of the German championships in the 10,000 meter run .

Individual references and notes

  1. According to the sources rekorde-im-sport.de and Leichtathletik.de mentioned several times in the articles on the German Athletics Championships, Otto Kohn's winning time would be a new German record. However, the performance on rekorde-im-sport.de is named for August 21, 1927 in Paris ( [1] ), on Leichtathletik.de it is not listed at all, although it actually belonged there due to the records listed ( [2] ). On ARRS , 15: 03.2 min is listed as the national record time at the DM and 15: 03.0 min as the record set up on August 21 in Colombes near Paris.
