List of German champions in the 3000 meter run

In the 1970s, the 3000 meter run was the first long distance on the track for women to be included in the national and international athletics program. From 1995 the length of the route was adapted to the men's program. The 3000 meters for women have now been replaced by the 5000 meters .

In the Federal Republic of Germany , the 3000-meter run had been part of the German Athletics Championships since 1973 and was then on the program of the all-German championships from 1991 to 1994. In the GDR , the competition was part of the championship program in 1976.

This championship record can no longer be improved because the 3,000-meter run is no longer part of the DM program.
