Gert Eisenberg

Gert Eisenberg (born December 7, 1943 in Somsdorf ) is a former German long-distance runner who started for the GDR .

At the European Athletics Championships in Budapest in 1966 , he came in 16th over 10,000 m . In 1973 he was at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Rotterdam fifth over 3000 m .

In 1967 and 1970 he was GDR champion over 5000 m . In the hall he won the GDR title over 3000 m in 1973 and was runner-up in 1969.

Gert Eisenberg started for SC Leipzig . His twin brother Frank Eisenberg was also successful as a long-distance runner.
