Wilfried Scholz
Wilfried Scholz (born November 23, 1950 ) is a former German long-distance runner who started for the GDR .
In 1971 he won silver over 3000 m at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Sofia . At the World Cross Country Championships he was sixth in Monza in 1974 and eleventh in Rabat in 1975 .
Over 5000 m was GDR champion in 1973 and runner-up in 1972 and 1974. In the indoor arena he was champion over 3000 m in 1972 and 1974 and vice champion in 1971 and champion over 5000 m in 1976. In 1976, he won the GDR long-distance title in cross-country skiing .
Wilfried Scholz started for the SC Einheit Dresden .
