Jacob Ngunzu

Jacob Ngunzu (* 1959 ) is a former Kenyan long-distance runner .

Between 1990 and 1997 he competed in numerous marathons and half marathons and was trained and managed by Volker Wagner during this time . In 1990 and 1991 he was able to win the 10,000 meter run in Bremen . In October 1992 he secured victory in the Lisbon Marathon with a new personal best of 2:13:34 h . In 1993 he triumphed in the Belgrade Marathon in April and in the Istanbul Marathon in October . In just one week, in October 1995, he finally won the Lausanne Marathon and the Graz Marathon .

In 1995 Hans Heijnen made a 30-minute documentary about him and Kipsobai Koskei.
