Lars Erik Pettersson (born March 19, 1925 in Västerås ; † May 8, 1971 ibid) was a Swedish ice hockey player .

Career

Lars Pettersson began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown at Västerås IK , for whose professional team he was active from 1945 to 1950 in Division 1 , the then top Swedish league. He then spent two years with his league rivals AIK Solna , before he ran again from 1952 to 1954 for his hometown club Västerås IK, where he then ended his career at the age of 29.

International

For Sweden Pettersson took part in the Olympic Winter Games in Oslo in 1952 , where he won the bronze medal with his team. As the best European team, Sweden also became European champions.
