Irina Kazakova

Irina Kazakova ( Russian Ирина Казакова , Irina Kasakowa, temporarily Kazakova grass ; born October 11, 1968 in Leningrad ) is a former French marathon runner of Russian origin.

She ran her first marathon in 1987 and was Soviet junior champion in 2:41 hours.

In 1992 she finished fourth in the Paris Marathon and then settled in France. In the following year she started for her new home at the Half Marathon World Championships in Brussels and came in 41st place.

In 1996 she won the Marseille - Cassis race and came third in the Saint Denis half marathon. That year she won the Venice Marathon and came second in the Monaco Marathon . In 1998 she finished sixth in the Boston Marathon , won the Vienna City Marathon and the Jungfrau Marathon, and came third in Monaco. In 1999 she won the Lausanne Marathon and was again third in Monaco. A ninth place in the Rome Marathon 2000 was followed by defending his title in Lausanne. In 2001 she finished fourth in the Dubai Marathon , won the Las Vegas Marathon and finished fifth in Monaco.
