Willingness to guide

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The readiness to be instructed is a special tactic used by the fire brigade at fire points to ensure a second escape and retreat path for self-rescue by respiratory protective equipment wearers when emergency services are in danger areas above the area accessible at ground level. Basically, every measure in which ladders are made available to ensure a retreat path falls under the term readiness to be instructed. For this purpose, depending on the position, turntable ladders and portable ladders are positioned on the object in question so that they can be used immediately if necessary.

The willingness to be an instructor does not only apply in the case of apartment fires, but also in the case of cellar fires in large buildings, a path of retreat can be created by placing portable ladders in light shafts. When used in process systems in the chemical industry, it may also be necessary to create a retreat path.
