Anna Herbich
Anna Herbich (born June 20, 1986 in Warsaw ) is a Polish journalist who asked many very old Polish women about their experiences during the Warsaw Uprising (1944), in Soviet gulags and in the Solidarność trade union , about historical events from a women's perspective to research and publish three books on it. Each of these books begins or ends with a report by a woman close to Herbich: her grandmother Irena Herbich (“Girls from the uprising”), her aunt Zofia (“Girls from Siberia”) and her mother Ewa (“Girls from Solidarnść”). Herbich wrote the first book after her first pregnancy. The premiere of the third work fell during her second pregnancy. The newspapers and magazines Herbich wrote for include " Rzeczpospolita ", " Do Rzeczy " and " Uważam Rze ".
