Anna Kubelík

Anna Kubelík (* 1980 in Lucerne ) is an artist and designer.

Life

Anna Kubelík was born in Lucerne in 1980 . She studied at Chelsea College of Art and Design ( London ) and at the Architectural Association School of Architecture (London), where she graduated.

She deals with kinetic sculptures and installations, often with a musical context, which can be experienced in theater productions, concerts, exhibitions or performances. Formats such as short films or radio plays as well as her engagements at the Volksbühne and Neuköllner Oper in Berlin expand her perspectives in the performative arts and enable projects that bring together different art forms.

Kubelík works with people from various fields and disciplines in the arts and sciences, including dancers, composers, theater directors, and scientists and scholars. She has received various awards and grants, including the first BLOOOM Award by WARSTEINER in 2010 , the Prize of the National Foundation for the Arts, the New York State Council on the Arts, the Art OMI in New York in 2015. She received a grant in 2015/2016 of the Akademie Schloss Solitude . 2016/2017 Rome Prize of the German Academy Rome Villa Massimo .
