The hillside nature reserve around Heidesheimer Weg is in the Mainz-Bingen district in Rhineland-Palatinate .
The 334.76 hectare nature reserve, which was placed under nature protection by ordinance of June 30, 2003 , extends between the core town of Ingelheim am Rhein in the southwest and the Ingelheim districts of Heidesheim am Rhein in the northeast and Wackernheim in the southeast. Not far to the north is the federal motorway 60 and the state road 419 to the south .
