Understanding. An International Journal for Analytical Philosophy is a philosophical journal founded in 1930 by Hans Reichenbach and Rudolf Carnap as a continuation of the Annals of Philosophy (1919–1929, from 1924 Annals of Philosophy and Philosophical Critique ). The publication was discontinued in 1939, and in 1975 the magazine was re-established by Wilhelm K. Essler , Carl Hempel and Wolfgang Stegmüller . The current editor is Hannes Leitgeb .
