The Annales Cambriae , the Annals of Wales , is a medieval chronicle spanning the period from 445 to 977, with entries from 453 to 954. It was later continued into the late 13th century.

Although the dates differ from other sources to some extent, most of the persons mentioned are historically verifiable. However, there are two entries that refer to Arthur , from which evidence of his real existence was sometimes derived earlier, although the annals were written several hundred years after the alleged events. In any case, the history of Britain in the early Middle Ages is very problematic.

516
The Battle of Badon , in which Arthur carried the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ on his shoulders for three days and three nights and the British were the victor.
537
The battle of Camlann , in which Arthur and Medraut fell; and a plague raged in Britain and Ireland.
