Annika Billström
Annika Billström (* 1956 in Härnösand ) is a Swedish politician . She was mayor of Stockholm from 2002 to 2006 .
Born in Härnösand in Norrland in 1956 , Billström moved to Stockholm at the age of 19 to work in the party headquarters of the Social Democrats.
Billström was elected Mayor of the Swedish capital in October 2002. As mayor, she led a coalition of Social Democrats and Greens . September 2006 she was defeated by Kristina Axén Olin , the candidate of the Moderata samlingspartiet .
