Technical rules , such as workplace guidelines , technical rules for hazardous substances , and DIN standards are subject to permanent updating and are thus adapted to changing technical and social conditions.

For example, so-called ATP (adaptation to technical progress) z. B. for Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (CLP) , which deals among other things with the classification and labeling of hazardous substances , published regularly to adapt to technical progress.

This means that these technical rules always reflect the state of the art .
