Anthony Kesselly

Anthony V. Kesselly (born before 1980) is a Liberian politician in exile and lobbyist .

Life

The the West African nation of Mandinka belonging Kesselly worked as a government official under President William R. Tolbert junior . He fled to the United States in 1980 when the Liberian Civil War broke out .

Kesselly holds a US degree in social sciences from Temple University's Graduate School of Social Administration and has long served as President of the Union of Liberian Association in the Americas (ULAA). In this capacity, he lobbied the United States government for the reconstruction of Liberia . In June 2009, Kesselly visited Liberia on behalf of the ULAA and met Liberian President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf and other politicians in the country. His leadership position at ULAA was challenged by Mariah Seton and other Liberians in exile, and he accused Kesselly of selfishness and undemocratic behavior.
