As Anticamera Pontificia ( Italian for papal antechamber ) the parts of the are the Apostolic Palace called, in which the pope private audiences granted and receives foreign heads of state, government officials and diplomats. Occasionally, the term is also used as a designation for the totality of those people who provide their service in it (such as the Sediari pontifici ).
