Antipater II
Antipater II Etesias (Greek Ἀντίπατρος Ἐτησίας , Latin Antipater Etesias ; † after 279 BC ) was a king of Macedonia . He was a son of Philip and nephew of the former king Kassander .
Antipater was born in 279 BC. Proclaimed king by the Macedonians as the successor of the overthrown Meleager . But after he had also proven himself incapable of fighting the Galatians , he was murdered by Sosthenes after just a few months .
His reign was supposedly only 45 days, corresponding to the duration of the Etesian wind .
