Antipodes of a circle
In mathematics, antipodes are two points on a sphere that are diametrically opposite each other.
In geometry and in geosciences , the opposite pole is a point that is opposite a defined pole or the point of an event. In cartographic projections (e.g. stereographic projection ) it is the point on the globe that is opposite the main point (tangent point) on a map.
